Oh, really, Amazon?

Apologies for the silence - the past couple of weeks have been taken up with Easter break, organising a live streamed concert and painting figures.

From Amazon, for your amusement:

We regret to inform you that we have been unable to source the following item:

Steve Morgan, Rick Priestly "Pike & Shotte: Battles with Model Soldiers
in the 16th and 17th Centuries (Main Rule Book)" http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/0956358160

Our supplier has informed us that this item is no longer available.
This item has now been cancelled from your order #026-3334028-5607515 and we
can confirm that you have not been charged for it.

Really?

  1. Welcome back, Mike. I laughed at that one. Are you making the trip down to Salute on Saturday?

    1. certainly am, although I'll be in the 'didn't prepay' queue. Look for the blue Peterborough Wargames Club shirt and the grey hair.

    2. Mike, I shall certainly watch out for you. I'll be dropping by Ray's (One Lover Ray's) meet up about 1pm - his blog's got details. Hope to hook up with you somewhere as a fellow refugee from Hull :)

  2. Aye, received the same email this morning - the cynic in me says Amazon probably can get the book from Warlord, but not selling it at the £20 price mark.

I remember a comment from Paul or someone at Warlord on their forum saying Amazon were "cheeky buggers," putting products up that they hadn't yet got the rights to sell.

Still, from all the rumours and previews, it looks like a good set of rules, so I'll still be picking it up (just at full price though!)
